Many Christians unconsciously regard prayer as an occupation that is incompatible with all other things they have to do: they "don't have the time." CCC 2726
Lord, take me where You want me to go, let me meet who You want me to meet, tell me what You want me to say, and keep me out of your way.
Fr. Mychal Judge (Franciscan Friar NY Fire Dept Chaplain who died on 9-11-2001, at Ground Zero)
It is always possible to pray:The time of the Christian is that of the risen Christ who is with us always, no matter what tempests may arise. Our time is in the hands of God:
It is always possible to offer prayer even while walking in public or strolling alone, or seated in your shop,...while buying or selling,...or even while cooking. St. John Chrysostom CCC 2743
Prayer to Our Redeemer
Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from the side of Christ, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
Good Jesus, hear me
In Your wounds, hide me
Apart from You, let me never be
From the enemy, defend me
At the hour of my death, call me
And close to You, bid me
That with Your saints
I may be praising You eternally. Amen.
Love and Mercy Prayer
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will which is Love and Mercy Itself. Amen St. Maria Faustina 950
An Act of Consecration to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
Lord Jesus Christ, I consecrate myself today anew and without reserve to Your Divine Heart. I consecrate to You my body with all its senses, my soul with all its faculties, my entire being. I consecrate to You all my thoughts, words and deeds, all my sufferings and labors, all my hopes, consolations and joys.
In particular I consecrate to You this poor heart of mine so that it may love only You and may be consumed as a victim in the fire of Your love.
I place my trust in You without reserve and I hope for the remission of my sins through Your infinite mercy.
I place within Your hands all my cares and anxieties.
I promise to love You and honor You till the last moment of my life and to spread , as much as I can, devotion to Your Most Sacred Heart.
Do with me what You will, my Jesus. I deserve no other reward except Your greater glory and Your holy love.
Take this offering of myself and give me a place within Your Divine Heart forever. Amen.
Apostleship of Prayer
Psalm 102: 2-3
Lord, hear my prayer
Let my cry come to You
Do not hide Your face from me
now that I am in distress
Turn Your ear to me
When I call answer me quickly.
Act of Faith
O my God, I firmly believe that You are one God in three Divine Persons, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
I believe that Your Divine Son became man and died for our sins, and that He shall come again to judge
the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because You have revealed them, Who can neither deceive or be deceived.
The Mission to the Afflicted
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me
because the Lord has anointed me
He has sent me to bring glad tidings to the lowly,
To heal the broken hearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives and release
to the prisoners,
To announce a year of favor
from the Lord, and a
day of vindication by Our God,
To comfort all who mourn.
Prayer for Priests
O Jesus Eternal Priest
keep all your priests within the shelter of Your Most Sacred Heart where none may harm them.
Keep unstained their anointed hands which daily touch
Your Sacred Body. Keep unsullied their lips purpled with Your Most Precious Blood. Keep pure and unworldly their hearts sealed with the sublime marks of Your Glorious Priesthood. Let your Holy Love surround them and shield them from the world's contagion. Bless their labors with abundant fruit, and may the souls to whom they minister be their joy and consolation and in heaven their beautiful and everlasting crown.
O Mary, Queen of the clergy,
pray for us, and obtain for us many holy Catholic priests. Amen.
O Holy Spirit, Spirit of wisdom and Divine Love, impart Your knowledge, understanding, and counsel to me (and to the youth) that I may know the vocation wherein I can best serve God. Give me courage and strength to follow God’s holy will. Guide my uncertain steps, strengthen my resolutions, shield my chastity, fashion my mind, conquer my heart, and lead me to the vineyard where I will labor in God’s Holy service. Amen.

An Act of Contrition
O my God I am heartily sorry for
having offended Thee, and
I detest all my sins because they
have offended Thee my God
Who art all good and deserving
of all my Love. I firmly resolve with
the help of Thy grace to confess
my sins to do penance and to
amend my life. Amen.
O Holy Spirit
Beloved of my soul I adore You.
Enlighten me, guide me,
strengthen me, console me,
teach and command me
what I should think, say and do.
I submit myself to all that You permit
to happen to me. Let me only know
Your will, do Your will, and love your will.
O God from Whom all good things come,
grant that we, who call on You in our need,
may at your prompting discern what is right,
and by Your guidance do it. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You in
the unity of the Holy Spirit one God, forever and ever. Amen. Daily Roman Missal
Angel of God
my guardian dear, to whom His love
commits me here, ever this day
be at my side, to light and guard
to rule and guide. Amen.
Novena to our Lady of Guadalupe
Immaculate and Perpetual Virgin of Guadalupe,
You appeared on Mount Tepeyac to reconcile
mankind to God. Plead and intercede with
your Son Jesus today, that a bond of Holy Love is
formed between all humanity and God.
You left your image on the cloak of Juan Diego,
using a humble vessel to bring your grace
unto the world. Imprint on our hearts the virtue of humanity, dear Mother, and use us to bring
others to your Son. Your Image of Guadalupe was a symbolic story to the Aztecs, converting them from
paganism to Christianity. Pray for us, dear Mother, that our lives will be symbols of Holy Love, converting those around us. You proclaimed yourself our Mother and protectress when you appeared on Mt. Tepeyac.
Take us into your Maternal heart, dear Mother and
protect our faith. Our lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
Psalm 23-The Lord is My Shepherd
The Lord is My Shepherd, I shall not want
In verdant pastures He gives me repose
He refreshes my soul. He guides me in the
right paths for His Name's sake.
Even though I walk in the dark valley
I fear no evil, for you are at my side.
With your rod and Your staff that
give me courage. You spread the table
before me, in the sight of my foes.
You anoint my head with oil,
my cup overflows. Only goodness and
kindness follow me all the days of my life.
And I shall dwell in the house of
the Lord forever.
Prayer of Confidence
O Will of the Omnipotent God
You are my delight
You are my joy
Whatever the hand of my Lord hold out to me
I will accept with gladness, submission and love
Your Holy Will is my repose
In it is contained all my sanctity
And all my eternal salvation
For doing God's Will is the
Do with me as You will, Lord
I place no obstacles
I make no reservations
For You are my whole delight and the love of my soul
And to You in turn, I pour out
the confidences of my heart.
St. Maria Faustina 1004
Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary
O Mary, my Queen and my Mother
I give myself entirely to You and
to show my devotion to You,
I consecrate to You this day
my eyes, my ears, my mouth,
my heart, my whole being
Since I am your own, keep me and guard me as your property and possession. Amen.
Prayer for the Pope
May the Lord preserve him
Give him a long life
Make him blessed upon the earth
and not hand him over
to the power of his enemies.
Saint Catherine Laboure On Prayer
Whenever I go to the chapel, I put myself in the
presence of our good Lord, and I say to Him,
"Lord, I am here. Tell me what you would have me do."
If He gives me some task, I am content and I thank Him. If He gives me nothing, I still thank him since
I do not deserve to receive anything more than that.
And then I tell God everything that is in my heart.
I tell Him about my pains and my joys, and then I listen. If you listen, God will also speak to you,
for with the good Lord, you have to both speak and listen. God always speaks to you when you approach Him plainly and simply. AMM
A Parent's Prayer
Dear Lord, Thank You for giving me Your gift
of a child, someone You have entrusted to me.
Father I am unworthy of this gift, this miracle.
And so I ask You for charity that I might never
alienate my child. I ask you for Prudence that I might never wrongly assume anything negative about my child. I ask You for the ability to Love unselfishly that
I might invest of myself in this child until, if You wish,
there is nothing left of me. I ask You for Hope that
I might show this child You, Lord, in how I behave, in how I speak, in how I live. I ask You for Patience that
I might be enduring with this child,
even when he is unkind or impatient with me.
Father, I cannot care for this gift alone; and so
I surrender all of me and my child to You.
I ask only for Your grace, Father, as I accept the challenge of being the best parent possible.
