How can I start Praying?
Just do it. If you are a human being, and you believe that there is a God that cares about you, then you can pray. It is that simple. No rocket science here. You can use written prayers such as the Our Father, Hail Mary, etc. Or you can simply express in your heart to God as you would to a best friend, and then wait in silence for God's response. God always communicates with us but many times in ways that are not perceivable by the senses. Usually, God touches the soul with a great infusion of love, peace and joy. You can pray by singing, writing a poem to God, journaling (writing your experiences of prayer in a journal), painting, composing sacred music, creating a work of art that represents your prayer experience, etc. You can also use Scared Scripture (the Bible) as a way to begin your prayer. The Holy Spirit always touches us in profound ways every time we ponder and meditate on God's word. The favorite prayer of our Lady is the Rosary and we should try to please her by every day saying at least one Rosary while meditating on the mysteries of the life of Christ, praying in a special way for our families and peace in the world.
The greatest of all prayers is obviously the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass which is the most sublime prayer of Christ Himself to the Father. By joining Christ in this form of prayer we perform the highest form of activity in our lives. Participation in the sacraments in general (including Confession) and in any other liturgical function is also an exalted form of prayer.

And so Francis signals great change while giving the same answers to the uncomfortable questions. On the question of female priests: “We need to work harder to develop a profound theology of the woman.” Which means: no. No to abortion, because an individual life begins at conception. Moved by our Lord's dedication to prayer, His disciples asked Him once "Lord teach us to pray." In answer, Our Lord gave them the model of all prayer: "When you pray, say: Our Father Who art in heaven..."...
This is the way Msgr. Josemaria Sescrirva de Balaguer taught and lived throughout his life, a life of prayer. "Let us begin to do the same with God; we can be quite sure He listens to us and answers us.
